Schroder House
visualization design William Blackmon
Schroder house, designed by Gerrit Rietvelt, is known for representing the De Stijle style, developped during the Dutch art and architecture movement led by T. Doesburg and P. Mondrian around 1920's. The abstract geometry of the house is composed of the rectilinear tectonic components at various scales, from detailed elements to the main structural walls.
The animation created in this visualization project illustrates the intricate mobile partition system embedded on the second floor. The system divides a large open space around the staircase into individual room units, adapting to the daily life of the client family with young children.
