Egerstrom House
visualization design Paul Keel

The Egerstrom house cad be considered as Barragan's most complex creation. It consists of elements that define a micro-model of the traditional pueblo; the house, the plaza, the horses, the trees, the water. A multi-layered series of planes of different heights begins to define the different volumes of the project. These layers which materialize in walls of different colors are percieved differently as you progrees through the space. The strong sun, the colorful reflections in the pool, and the silence which permeates through the site, offer these hieratical walls a legendary significance.
